Sun, sea and chlorine can often be a major threat to your hair during the holiday season. Your hair is highly sensitive to photo-deterioration from the sun's harmful UV rays. The hair naturall try to protect itself with a external layer called the cuticle which is made up of lipids. These lipids can gradually become degraded by exposure to the sun which can expose the heart of the hair to longer lasting damage. Consequently, salt and chlorine are able to penetrate into your hair fibre, weakening and damaging its internal structure.

Step 1: Protect. Choose one or both of the protect products according to your needs. Kerastase Voile Protecteur is a fine spray product which offers quick and easy protection against the damaging effects of the sun, sea and chlorine in swimming pools. Or you could use Kerastase Creme UV defense, a multi-protection cream with a shine polymer and two UV filters for reinforced sun protection and optimumswim protection when your work it into the hair section by section.

Step 2: Bathe. Use Kerastase Bain Apres-Soleil, a hair bath shampoo specially formulated to act as a fast and effective refresher for your hair. This will leave your hair in optimum condition for further exposure to the sun. As a aftersun shampoo Kerastase Bain Apres-Solweil elimnates the buid-up of salt, sand and cholrine to repair and moisten your hair.

Step 3: Treat. New Kerastase masque UV Denfense Active, this will repair and beautify your hair. This after-sun treatment with cationic derivatives repairs even the most damaged section of the hair. This is the hair care version of a after-sun skincare cream.
